Jacky Wooten is a charter member of Mt Freedom Baptist Church and has faithfully led our congregation in worship every Sunday since 1996. God gifted Jacky with a lifelong love for singing, and he has used that gift with humility and joy for nearly three decades. Though he appreciates many styles of music, his heart is never far from his bluegrass roots. Growing up on the mountain and surrounded by a talented and close‑knit family helped shape his deep affection for that timeless genre.

Jacky never meets a stranger. His warm, inviting personality has made him a beloved part of our church family and a steady encouragement to all who know him. His personal faith journey began on March 13, 1992, when he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized—an anchor point that continues to guide his life and service.

Jacky and his wife, Renee, cherish their family and are wholeheartedly devoted to their daughter Carmen, her husband Tim, and their two granddaughters, Bayleigh and Paisleigh.

Professionally, Jacky serves as an Engineering Specialist at Prisma Health Oconee. He also continues to invest in the community as owner and operator of Wooten’s Plumbing, a business he founded more than thirty years ago.
