Genesis 1:26-28 tells us that God created people male and female in His own image. Therefore our lives are sacred, and we should respect and honor all human beings simply because we are all the image bearers of God. We must stand up for human life wherever it is threatened or devalued.

As Christmas rapidly approaches, we take time to reflect on the blessings we have received by Jesus’ birth. The miracle of God taking on human flesh fills us with awe, but we are deeply humbled when we consider that He did so because He intended to redeem us out of death by taking the judgment for our sins upon himself at the cross. Nevertheless, we are thrilled and richly blessed with the promise He gave just before He ascended back to His Father that one day He will return to gather us to Himself so we will be with Him in His glory forevermore. This is the blessed hope we hold tightly onto as we await His coming.

A splendid time was enjoyed by all. Tugalo Holler played for us including their popular Old Man Noah song with exotic animal sounds. Adam Hopkins shared a message from Psalm 73, and of course there was barbecue.

This message reminds us that “all” human life is valuable to God. If the people of God truly desire “revival” in their life and in the life of their church, then God’s people must recognize how sacred life is. What must follow is love for God and love for “all” our neighbors.

Believers often talk about “revival.” Many churches and denominations hold “revival” services from time to time. Most of us desire and pray for “revival.” But what exactly is revival? In this message we try to answer that question.

Storms, whether natural or those which are spiritual, are never easy to deal with. God, however, is always there for us. He is our refuge and strength. He is sufficient, secure, and supreme.

When our brothers and sisters in Christ behave badly, it’s important for us to recognize that they are not the enemy. Our real enemy – Satan – sometimes uses people to accomplish his wicked purposes within the Church. We need to understand that, and beware of becoming a tool of the enemy ourselves.

Tony Grant, Mt Freedom’s first pastor comes home to deliver a powerful message from Psalm 121.

Every day that we are on this side of heaven, we are at war. Every day could mean that we will face a new attack from Satan or from one of the other evils in this world. We cannot escape it. What then must we do in response?

Jesus taught two more parables concerning stewardship – one about a landowner who left his land in care of others until the time of harvest and anther about a man who had two sons, one of whom said he would obey his father but did not while the other said he would not obey, but in the end actually did his father’s will. Clearly the men in these parables symbolize God while the other characters in the stories represent the priests and scribes to whom God had entrusted the care of His people Israel.
